Do You think you are perfect?

There has been a lot of Things going on around here of late and it seems to be the same old shit everyone expressing their opinion, not listening to others, being blunt and dammit that's my fucking job most the time.

I guess what i think we should discuss is, Do you think you are perfect? As one person do each of you think you are perfection in a can and nothing you do is to be Criticized?

Lets discuss, or yell at me either way i think this thread has alot of potential :ninja

I register in the negative numbers on the perfect scale. But there will be some who post here who will say they are perfect.

I don't think anyone would ever say they think they are perfect, to me as soon as you think you are perfect you have lost . . . at. . . well, life, what is the point of existing if we don't strive to better ourselves??

However, this does remind me of a poem by marianne williamson:

"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some; it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

So the message here is to have more faith in ourselves, yet i personally believe that noone is perfect. . . . . not even me :p

My name was mentioned...
I am not opening the whoop ass can on Strauss. In fact, I find his comments back at you refreshingly hilarious. Almost PERFECT, in fact. Because he doesn't speak in 3rd person. :p :24:

As to the topic (which you implied was prompted by what's been going on here)--this was what I addressed in my "mind your own business" thread. I try not to take anything anyone says seriously here because what I have found is there is somewhat of a "pack" mentality on forums--that is there are the "in" members and the "out" members. Valentin for example right now is an "out" member. It only takes a few "in" members to jump on "out" members and then others start doing it more or less to fit in (everyone wants to fit in--near impossible for Mulder but that's another story! :cool ). So then the member that's getting jumped on looks like the one that's causing trouble and he in fact might be, but the conduct is now under a microscope and next he's infracted or banned. So I think its important to use that infracting power and banning power very judiciously for that reason. Now of course people are human so its going to be used indiscriminately sometimes, but that's life--one big indiscrimination! ;)

Oh no...I know that I am definitely NOT perfect. Anybody who thinks they are is severely disillusioned. ;)

VERY GOOD EXAMPLE...and exactly what I've been saying today. It's fun to pick on people a little bit...but treating someone like shit just for the hell of it when they haven't done anything to warrant it is a different story.

Damn--I mistyped and had "like" instead of "life" in the last sentence. Can you fix it in your quote--I fixed it in my original post! ;)
