Stop pulling things out of your ass. People are starting to talk. It's embarrasing. Better still, don't put things up your ass in the first place.I pulled it out of my ass dipstick. You do that all the time so I thought you would understand.![]()

He's a pilot so put it in words he'd understand.
Minor--how far would you have done (or would go) to disarm a plot on board a plane you are piloting to bring it down?
that is way beyond what i was considering acceptable.I'm talking policy, not practicality for every situation. As far as can remember our (the U.S.) standard was no torture at least officially. It is not a reliable means of intel. And I'm talking real torture- loss of limbs or body parts, failure of organs, and death. It's a worthy moral standard and letting it slide puts our soldiers under increased risk in future conflicts. Or at a minimum, we lose whatever moral high ground we had. Take it or don't take it for what it is worth. And it's just an opinion so I don't expect everyone to agree.

i would go with waterboarding being ok. it is torture but nobody will die unless that is the intent. and again only under certain circumstances would i go that far.
No shit Sherlock. :willy_nilly:Did I tell you I've had the pleasure? Yep in the U.S. Navy going through POW summer fun camp. However, what happened to me was controlled. I knew they weren't going to kill me but at one point I did feel like ok, now I'm going to breath and when I get a lung full of water, they'll have to stop. It could be terrifying if you questioned the intent of your captures.

If it did you would have succumbed us long ago :24:Doesn't mental torture count?

Your pacifism has not bounds it appears.
Lets take it on a personal level Jim. Pretend that beautiful child of yours was kidnapped one day. Lets assume for arguments sake one of the perps is caught leaving the scene. How far are you willing to go if you get a phone call in 10 minutes from the other perp telling you that you have an hour to do something or you will never see the child again? You have one of the perps in custody. What ya gonna do?
non responsiveThat's hitting below the belt. It is a loaded question and I refuse to answer on the grounds that it is an emotional appeal and is irrelevant to the subject. The thread title is 911 & NWQ, not my child.
Where are you going with this? My only point was in quoting Minor as saying "And I'm talking real torture- loss of limbs or body parts, failure of organs, and death." He implied that real torture was physical in nature wherein I am making the point that it is also mental.non responsive
mental torture is all about emotions aint it?![]()

Why the fuck did you have to bring my unborn child into a discussion of torture! Are you trying to prove how fucking insensitive you can be? :mad
And I was trying to find out what your limits are on acceptable mental torture.
PS I can be very insensitive if I want to be. You have no idea. If you found that insensitive I see no reason why.
Fuck you if you don't understand.
can something not be right yet also not be wrong?torture is torture no matter what you call it or who it's for
i'd support torture if someone harmed a hair on my son's head
doesn't make said support RIGHT.
and now i'm going back to the light hearted threads to spread pixie dust and lollipops.

Doesn't mental torture count?
torture is torture no matter what you call it.
Well, we can't be total wooses when it comes to gather intel, but we should not be turning people into vegetables either.
