Jacksonville/St. Augustine is the furthest point west on the east coast and is right next to Gulf Stream. We hardly get any tropical systems unless they come from the Gulf and it doesn't happen often.

that sucks. when i lived in orlando i remember during the summer there was a storm at least once a day..well not a tropical storm. But still fla storms are the best.
