I am not sure who knows, but my uncle died earlier this month. Thus the task of emptying his apartment has been pushed into higher gear (he is paid up until August).

During the clean- -up and -out, and from memory, we began collecting a bunch of music. However, most of it is on 33s and 45s. If you do not know what a 33 or a 45 is, it is a vinyl record; the number indicates (generally) which rpm speed to select on the record player. Generally, a 45 is a song on one side, with two sides per record. A 33 is a full album, generally.

The two record names that have stood out are a Paul Simon and The Dixie Hummingbirds disc, and a Black Sabbath.

I have literally about 1000 records or more to catalog. It would not surprise me if the total number reaches 1500.

Then, after passing the whole list to my maternal grandparents, I also have the task of selling them.

So, if anyone has any ideas besides EBay and Craigslist, I am taking all suggestions.

My sister would love to have that collection (and she loves Paul Simon). My parents only kept 20 or 30 from the big collection they had before we moved. She went out and bought a record player so she could listen to some of her favorite groups the way they were originally release.

shit you can ask local DJs (the kind that makes techno, rap or whatever) to see if they would be interested. also if you have a place that sells used records, cds and tapes you could try there as well.
