I Met One!!!!!!

No, I'm making a factual statement: a lack of information is incompatible with the contrariness of your opinion. You don't argue with surgeons with certitude, that kind of behaviour is distinctly religious-taboo in nature.

I can see absolutely no basis for this statement, oft-repeated though it is. I am taking part in civil society. Government is intruding on me. This is nothing but blaming the victim, if I am robbed and threatened with kidnapping I can hardly be said to be a willfull participant in the matter. The thugs with guns are the intruders, society is not a part of government nor dependent on it but in fact it's antithesis.
Do you pay taxes? if you are, you're part of the machine. Do you buy things? If so then all the more. You're fueling the system and sustaining it.

So some guy says, "your money or your life," and you pay him, you're responsible for robbery.
Such blatant reversal of justice is undeserving of comment.
I'm not saying I like taxes, but if you're paying them, you're a part of the government. If you dislike government so much, why aren't you living in an isolated part of the country now with fellow anarchists on a subsistence farm? I can answer for you: You're comfy with everything it affords you.

The fact that you cannot differentiate between voluntary civil society and coercive states is why you cannot understand my position.
No, I know what a voluntary civil society is. I'm just saying that you're railing against something you could with relative ease avoid. You talk the talk, but you don't walk the walk.

What is keeping you from joining a collectivist commune?

No, I cannot avoid the government meddling in my affairs. To avoid shopping at Wal-Mart is just abdicating to the government, not escaping it.

What is keeping you from joining a collectivist commune?
I'm not a collectivist. I am a hardcore pro-market pro-capitalist self-interested laissez-faire classical liberal on steroids. That is, in fact, why I am an anarchist.

You're being pretty high and mighty. Just because I'm not as well read in THIS particular subject as you, does not mean you should look down on me.

I'll admit that I am not educated in the field of anarchism, but, I do think anarchism is incompatible with human beings. Small groups of collectives? Yes, since those have existed. Large groups? Nope. Individuals have too many desires and goals to play nicely. Such is human nature.

Oh, and you're a total hypocrit for taking part in society and government and having these views.

:wtf: I've been gone for far too long.

I agree with AEF on anarchism!! :eek In the past I would have had something smart to say about the looking down on part, but as I'm no longer well versed, I'll keep still. :cool
