It's a good thread that suddenly took a turn for the worse and went horribly wrong....but thank God or whoever better sense prevailed and got back on track with cooler heads.

Dayuuumn you guys are so friggin hot headed at times. Let's try and have good debates without the name calling et al and avoid the risk of being penalized and butt hurt.

It was a personal attack. It was dealt with.

He knew the rules and they were broken, so he got an infraction.

You can't please all the people all the time. There have been numerous complaints that the staff doesn't do enough to stop the personal insults and attacks. This very topic was discussed at length in the site mod room and what should be done about it. That was the whole reason for the Resolving personal conflicts thread. We wanted to make sure it was very clear to everyone where we stand on this very issue.

it was my understanding that AEF mentioned it. I may have heard that incorrectly.

BUT, having said that, if Tim or V or any other mod sees and infraction, whether they are personally affected by it or agree/disagree, they reserve the right to enforce the rules whether someone said something or not. That's an easy one.....
 
My entire point of this thread was to show how intelligent debate is carried out and not whore up the pic thread with a difference of opinion with AEF.

Intelligent debate = good.

name calling and mudslinging = bad and infractions usually ensue.

unfortunately, mudslinging and namecalling are usually a fact of internet life.
