Yeah, I figured as much and I'm sorry for whatever you're going through right now. I just dont see the need to critisise Dana's work over it. Like in the poetry section, this is quite personal and I dont see that anything more than constructive critisism is very nice, especially when he's already been verbally attacked for no reason today.

Do a Google search for Salem Bachar. He was in my section. 2 years ago yesterday he caught a piece of shrapnel in his throat in a shithole little town called Karmah. Do you really think that I wanna click on a thread and see a dead soldier staring back at me, especially today?

So forgive me if I can't give any constructive criticism.

Thanks for explaining and yeah, I see your point. I just honesty don't see how Dana was trying to be offensive with this. I understand how it might have been upsetting for you but I really don't see that this was trying to be offensive. War is very brutal and nasty, I can't even imagine what you've gone through there, maybe pictures of dead soldiers can help those of us who haven't been there appreciate just how real and serious it is?

Its really pointless explaining my point to you on this. I never said anything about the war. I have stated several times that this was MY opinion on what I saw of that picture. You dont have to like it.

Unless you think this picture is gonna be seared into your brain for the rest of your life and cause you a few sleepless nights for the weeks surrounding the anniversary of you seeing the picture, all the while of course dealing with survivor's guilt and never really knowing why you weren't the one in the picture instead of your buddy?
