Help!!!!!

Unfamiliar 15 Year Club
Me and My mom are going to go out and spend a little bit of her pay check on ourselves, believe it or not. But we can't do this and let my brother and father know about it - they'd seize that money like communist rebels. So I need an excuse for us to be gone for several hours without arousing suspicion. We'll be gone from about 5:00/30-8/9:00
Any suggestions?

Because we are SO DESPERATLEY POOR that Dad and hunter would kill us for spending that money on ourselves and not contributing it to the family in this dire time.
The thing is, me and my mom are the only people holding the family up. She works for an income, and I kep the house from falling apart while she's gone. My brothers a normal 12 year old and my dad (I love him, but the following is a matter of objective fact:) is a broken, extremely lazy, unhelpful, egotistical (in the bad way), unearning moocher who exploits his physical problems as an excuse for not doing ANY work AT ALL.
So my mom's monthly 1700 dollar check gets devoted wholey to the rent and groceries. She took out a small 401(k) loan and we're using that.

if your dad and brother went out and bought stuff for themselves on a shopping spree just for the 2 of them and didnt buy you and your mom something, you would be pretty pissed off that they didnt buy you shit. you better buy them shit and/or stuff so that EVERYONE in the house gets to enjoy it. if not, then your dad and brother have the right to be mad at you and your mom.

The difference here is that me and my mom are the only ones that do anything to help the family at all. Dad doesn't get off the couch except to go to the bathroom or smoke a cigarette, and Hunter doesn't get off the couch except to do the dishes, which only happens when I make sure he does them. And this is his only chore. I do the rest of the house.
So if they went out and bought stuff with OUR (well, it would probably be more so my mom's, but they might take the little money I pull out of my lunch account (as an alllowence I couldn't get otherwise) with them) money, then WE'D have the right to be pissed off.

But you're part of the bigger family. And family is supposed to take care of one another, treat all members with love and respect.
 
i was saying that what if the situation was reversed and you and your mom didnt do shit while your dad and brother worked. they decide to go out and buy stuff behind your back and didnt buy you anything at all. you would be highly pissed that they didnt buy you anything or something for the house that everyone can enjoy. you gotta put yourself in their shoes...

That's what we do when mom gets the family's ONLY source of income and I clean the house while Hunter plays video games. Plus, I don't believe that we have that obligation at all. I only do it out of guilt, and the fact that Dad did help raise me (however little) nad that my brother has no other good role model. I think that we deserve our earnings, and we need no other justification for using it then that.

But I'm not here to argue about why I'm doing it, only about suggestions. Which, I no longer need, because Mom's on her way home and we agreed to say that she's had a tough day at work and wants to relax. Me and Mom are really close (I'm the only one emotionally mature enough for her to talk to), so my company won't be curious.
 
Well have fun! Let us know what you did. While I have no problem with your and your Mom enjoying some fun time, the sneaky way you wanted to do it seemed odd to me.

We went to the mall and Burger King. I got a t-shirt, a nice Bible, a movie (all quiet on the Western front. Loved the book), and a pack of playing cards. Mom got new outfit, some clothes, and some other stuff that I can't remember. WE had to sneak it all in through the back door, but we got it!!
