Help me out.

I didn't know. Good luck to you.

You knew, your reading comprehension just isn't up to par apparently.

I dunno whats so hard to figure out about
I want another job.

:smiley24:

Then see if you can get him fired...

Ok, I need to rep you for that, even though its not helpful. haha

:rant:Yes, God forbid that you wonderful men have to work under us women. I mean, geez, it's amazing we don't come to work every 28 days and fire everybody, huh!?!?!?

Um...

....

I was going to make a "is it that time of the month for you?" joke, but apparently when a man jokes on a woman it's forbidden fruit. So I'll just say...

okie dokie.

It wasn't meant to be helpful... twas meant to make you laugh...

So seriously James, you need to throw out a little more information before you can get some serious suggestions...

Like: what field of work would you like to be in? (pencil pusher is too vague)
What are you qualified to do?
What's available in your area that you might want to pursue? And what training would you need to do it?

Ya know... the basic bullshit questions to help form a plan of attack.

I don't care, what type it is aside from sales. I'd do data entry, answering the phones, yada yada. I don't need anything that requires a college degree because I don't have one.

All you had to do was throw out suggestions of any type of work regarding basically a "desk job".

I don't know how it is where you are, but in this town if you want a desk job with room for advancement, a degree is required. Sure, you could work as a receptionist answering phones (for example), but those salaries are relatively static.

So building on Tim's questions: Are you looking for a career or an "anything different for now" kind of job?

Ultimately I need something else to reduce the stress. I work with people who get so worked up when we get busy that it makes it hard to accomplish anything due to the fact that if I have a question, it doesn't get answered.

I am planning on college, I decided on civil engineering. But I cannot take any time out of my 8-5 day to attend any classes.

I have a desk job and the stress can still pile on heavy. It really comes down to who you're working with. There is plenty of bickering in this office, but at least we're doing it in air conditioning.

If you're trying to go to school at the same time, maybe you should look into temp agencies for placement in part time job positions. I think most desk jobs you find on your own will be full time 8-5'ers.
