I have the 4.5" .40, and it's one of the best pistols I've ever shot.

I've fired the 4.5" 9mm before, and it was very nice. But seeing as how I'd like to get a CCW permit, the 3.8" would be a much better choice for that.

Actually ....I kinda likem ...but no its not mine..the owner was telling me its super quiet, yet packs a helluva punch and is very accurate...just wanted thoughts on it

I just ordered this:

and I ordered a complete G17 (9mm) upper assembly.

My G37 fires the .45 GAP round which has been phased out by Glock, and ammo is getting harder and harder to find.

Turns out, I can switch out the trigger housing and ejector, and the G17 slide will fit the G37 frame. Beats a $500 paper weight.

Hydra-Shok's are about the only round worth using for home defense in 9mm. At least IMO.

Both.

Hydra-shok for home defense, and then less expensive stuff for the range.

That is, until I eventually get a .40 of some sort. I've never fired a .40, so I'm gonna have to head to the range and try some out when I get to that point. But I know I like the XD(m) in 9mm, and it'll be a great CCW weapon.
