Absolut ad in Mexico

Any Joe blow who took a history class knows about the old Mexican territories and republics. This dude is calling us stupid. The people getting bent outta shape over this though are the pathetic ones.

It's clever to mexican people .. but judging by the response of the poll at the bottom .. I don't think the US customer base is digging it.

I think it's a stupid ad, on the vendors part. Why would you try to get yourself boycotted like that? They had to know the US citizens would see it, and they would not like it, and possibly see it as something to "stir up some shit".

I'm not personally offended by it, it's an alcohol ad .. so like it holds much water .. but I don't find it amusing either. I voted for "its stupid".

I think all countries did the exact same thing .. back in those days .. they were all fighting over land and establishing themselves.

Only stupid americans should get upset at this add. They obviously can't work out the word play in it.
 
I have a hard time understanding why you are dating an American .. when you obviously think americans are so stupid and beneath you .. since you're always referring to us that way all the time.

I'm sure they are working out exactly the set of "words" are being played on .. otherwise the people who developed and marketed it would have marketed it here as well.

They knew exactly how it would be perceived .. that's why the stupid marketers only marketed it to Mexico .. the country that feels we took their land.

It's just something to stir up more trouble .. like we need more.

Play on words .. rarely work out well .. when it's something that could be perceived as politically charged, like this.

You thought that when I said, "Only stupid Americans", that I was implying that all Americans are stupid. What I actually meant was was only those Americans that are stupid.
