I've been playing for around 13 years now I think and I've just started to learn a new type of style. I'm learning this at the moment and hope to finish learning it soon, but it's really really hard

Alrighty then. That's an interesting style on the vid you posted there. It looks hard. Is that the Flamenco (sp) or something like that?

I been fucking with bass for about 8 years, but only the past two have been dedicated. Something had to click and when it FINALLY did, I couldnt put her down. I could always thump out a bass line back in the day. But I felt I was just surviving the song. Now I feel like I'm a driving force in it.

It's a kinda new style/craze going around at this moment, it is very hard I must admit and my hand is killing me... Not overly sure on the name of the style, if anyone knows, then I'd be happy to find out.

I actually follow the bass more than drums when playing live, as a good bassist will always be in the right place I still think that it is not given enough credit

No, that's not Flamenco, I listen to Flamenco all the time - it sounds more like country'ish, with a hint of soft rock and slight bit of jazz maybe.

The only Flamenco like thing he did, was the way he played on th eactual body of the guitar.

Interesting and doesn't look easy to play, but don't think I could listen to much of it, dunno.

Word. Bass players are always on the outside. Even the good ones. Rex from Pantera followed right along Dime on the bass, was always in the shadows.

For some reason, I have never ever ever been able to appreciate the sound of a violin. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. But I appreciate the skill it takes to play it.

Electric violin is fantastic - that's a sound and a half with the right complimentary instruments and some great upbeat music.

If it's the song I've just watched on youtube, then I think that I really need to get 'human' his 12string (in storage) and learn it. It's rather good... though I can see the stupid human breaking lots of strings learning it. :nod:

That is AMAZING!! That would be unbelievably hard to learn.. I wish you good luck! lol

Me myself I ama bit of a mixture.. I own a bass guitar, acoustic and piano.. But I used to own drums and a recorder.. HAH! Recorder was forced upon me..

I want to be a famous singer one dayw ith my piano and possibly if I get better, my acoustic.. I love music so much. never had any other thing on my mind.. Of course I have back ups, but this will always be the main thing for me, even if it doesn't go through, I will still try..

I can sing jsut about anything, opera, pop, country, rock.. But yeah, I really love pop.. well it's not the mainstream pop, it's more heart felt and meaningful, it is all written by me. It's my life!

This lady is my idol, she was born in Australia, her name is Delta Goodrem.. She has become big in the UK and now in Japan..
