It's Mother's Day!

Well, it is here in the U.K. I don't know about the rest of the world!

Got my mum a nice big card and some flowers, going to go and cook Sunday dinner for her soon.

That's true! The same goes for thanksgiving in N. America. Canada has theirs in Oct. and the US has it in Nov.

Nope! She'd be very offended if I tried to celebrate it with her in any way! Don't get me wrong, she's a lovely mother, the best! I just respect her beliefs and do what I can for her when it matters, not because it's some day I'm supposed to be nice to her. She's got a point really!

No I wasn't in my crusted egg tomb for long, and as soon as I hatched I made some very biting comments toward my Mother I'll have you know.. They were very funny, and I told her she would be spared...

Happy mothers day...but i kinda agree with the rediculousness of holidays...I mean think about it...shouldn't we be nice to people all the time? but at the same time i think it's a good excuse to get/give presents hahah

Hi all.

I was ill from Saturday early evening (my time) and worse yesterday, so I didn't see this thread, as wasn't up to being online for that time.

Mother's Day wasn't as it should have been because of being ill, we couldn't go out in the end, like we were going to do. However, my lovely young man did buy me a couple of gift vouchers for books and cd's or dvd's and a lovley card. Shame I felt too rough to enjoy the day.
