Back on topic. Dislike him if you want, but the Muslim thing is getting old. Dislike him because he is the most liberal Senator serving today. Or dislike him because he is getting a free ride from the media during this campaign while everyone else is being picked apart. Or just dislike him because he has almost no track record whatsoever to judge his leadership by. But let the Muslim thing go.
I dislike him for all the above reasons.
He was born and raised Christian and religion is supposed to be separated from state anyways, any thing you have heard otherwise were things created by others and then sold to the media,by sold I mean it the news except bribery all the time when it comes to dirty politics.
No he wasn't. His father was a Muslim turned atheist, his mother was a non practicing baptist, his grandfather and stepfather were both Muslim.
You can say religion is supposed to be seperate from the state all day long, the truth is MANY MANY voters take a candidates religion into thought when pulling that lever.
To what extend do the Americans vote on issues, and to what extend do they vote on obligation because they're Father voted that way and his Father voted etc.. ? (sorry if that sounds sexist, I just used father as an example)
