not really. Every animal in nature serves a purpose. Animals like snakes keep the rodent population down. So it probably thought the chihuahua was a huge rodent. 99.9% of snakes can't view or focus things clearly to figure out what they're pray is for certain.


And another example... cow!
to be served up on my plate with a side of fries!
 
My question is why are people with small children living so close to snakes big enough to eat their pets and probably big enough to crush their children? That is frightening. If I EVER saw a snake that big in my dogs bed you can bet I would be out there with my glock before you can blink.

It certain areas, they are a nuisance, just as deer or racoon can be for us.
