Me and Soth of Heaven got these 2 puppies one knows how to use the pad and well the other he shits and pisses on the floor. We have tried rubbing his face in it and then locking him up till he uses the pad, but he still continues to do it over and over. If anyone has any suggestions we are open to ideas well except cruality.

I agree, forget the pads. Get a crate and crate train them. They wont go where they lie so they'll learn to hold it. Feed them on a regular schedule and walk them 30 minutes after each meal.

I agree 100%

crating is the only way to properly house train a dog...

and rubbing their nose in it will not do anything except make the dog scared of you. They don't know why you are rubbing their nose in their mess... it doesn't teach them anything.

I saw Clare write a really good idea out once. Hang a bell on the doorknob. Everytime you are gonna take them out to poop make them ring the bell with their paw. In time they will make the connection and hopefully in time ring it on their own when they need to go.

yeah the bells work. AND DO NOT rub their noses in it!!! It will make it WORSE I promise!
Housetrain a puppy by being consistent. Take her outside every time she wakes up, after she's eaten and when she's been playing. Don't just put her outside, you need to go outside with her and stay with her until she has pottied. As soon as she does potty praise her to the skies and even give her a treat if you want. When she has a mistake indoors, put her in her crate, and clean up the mess. If you catch her in the act, take her outside immediately! Even if she doesn't go, you want to connect taking her outside with going potty!

Put her in her crate when you can't keep an eye on her and as soon as you let her out, take her outside. Make sure her crate is just the right size for her. Dogs generally don't potty where they sleep, if they can help it. If the crate is too big though they will mess on one side and sleep on the other.

It's hard work for a few weeks but if you are consistent & vigilent, she'll soon catch on.

Yeah .. feed/water , wait 15 min .. walk until they pee/poop at least twice (puppies will usually go more than once).

I also don't leave food/water out all day long either (in the house mind you). Not unless I am home and am willing to get up every 30 min to take them out.

I've never taught mine to ring a bell, but once they associate going outside with potty time .. you'll knw when they wanna go out. They''ll prance back and forth to the door to you and back .. til you finally get up.

Now, if you don't take them out and they have an accident .. that's your fault though lol.

Crates are the way to go! And never leave your puppy out alone while you are gone, that is just asking for trouble (dogs are like 3 yr olds ... for their entire life). Crate, crate, crate.

Negative reinforcement does NOT WORK.

You need to pay attention to the pup, and bring him to the pad, when he potties you give him a treat.

Eventually he'll learn to piddle on the pad, and he'll do it everytime. Rubbing a dogs nose in it's own shit isn't a punishment. They lick their own asses.

Crate, crate, crate!!! Just like the homos above me said...

Get an adjustable crate if its going to grow alot... Mine has like 5 adjustments.. When theyre little make the crate just small enough to sleep in.. Like Clare said as long as they can help it, they wont have an accident where they sleep. As they get bigger, you can adjust the crate to just the right size. They should be comfortable but not have too much room to roam around in there. Don't be silly and leave food or water in there... that's just asking for trouble.

That's all I can think of now

Just a little side note .. just because a dog won't go wher eit sleeps ... doesn't mean you can just expect that the pup can hold it forever and wont go . because they will.

And if you ever leave them in there long enough with out letting them out to go potty .. they'll have no choice other than to go in there .. they won't be able to stop it .. and once they ever learn to go in the crate, you're screwed.

Puppies are like children .. their bladder has to be trained to go when it's appropriate, it's not a "you're gonna pee now,not gonan pee now" kinda deal .. their insides have to learn to work with the outside.

It does take time, and not all are the same .. just like kids. would you rub a childs nose in their excrimate if they made a boo-boo? No, works the sme with dogs, they don't have a CLUE as to why you're doing that, except to be mean.

And understand that if you got the puppies from a pet store, they may have learned to potty in the crate... this is pretty easy to fix. But understand that they may take a little time to understand that it's not ok to potty in there...

I know that my dogs loved the crate. It was like their den. When they got older, they would prefer to sleep in the crate at night... with the door open.

My dogs now have some internal clock that tells them its "bed time". Around 11:30-12midnight, they will hop off the couch and go to the crate to curl up with each other and sleep... waiting patiently for me to close the door behind them :)
