PETA's at it again!

Bunch of fucking idiots, I swear. These days, you can't even wash your dog without them screaming "abuse!" and throwing fake blood at you!

Take Action: Tell Lowe's to Stop Selling Glue Traps!

Glue traps are among the cruelest pest-control devices on the market today. Animals who get stuck to them suffer for days before they finally die of starvation, dehydration, self-mutilation, and shock. Patches of skin, fur, or feathers are torn from their bodies as they frantically struggle to escape the relentless adhesive.

Many animals resort to chewing off their own limbs in a desperate attempt to free themselves from the traps, and others get their noses, mouths, or beaks stuck in the glue and suffocate. Imagine being stuck in a giant glue trap and having to gnaw off your own leg just to break free.

"Nontarget" animals routinely fall prey to these cruel devices too. PETA fields calls on a daily basis from distraught customers who have discovered that birds, squirrels, and even their animal companions have become hopelessly stuck in glue traps.

PETA has presented Lowe's with graphic photos and video footage of small animals, including birds, who suffered painful injuries and died lingering deaths after being ensnared by the cruel traps. But so far, not this, nor the fact that other companies—including CVS, Rite Aid, Albertsons, and Safeway—have banned glue traps because they are so cruel has persuaded Lowe's to do the right thing and get rid of them once and for all.

Please take a moment to fill out the form below, which sends an automated letter to the CEO of Lowe's urging him to stop selling glue traps.

why not poison rodents?its quicker and more effective.
as you know matt i dont like animal cruelty but rodents can cause more than food poisoning, they can kill you because they urinate constantly and it can be extremely harmful to humans.

That completely lost me hun. So, are you against the traps or not? I don't condone animal cruelty either, but it is an effective way of trapping them. The poison doesn't always work.

im actually for them ,,we try to catch mice ina ll sorts of ways, humane traps are crap, the cartoon classic type are crap the little buggers just take the food and piss off,but poison does the job.
ive not seen these before but that seems agood solution to me,theyve got to be killed.

peta just make a mokery of any sensible issues regards animals with the rubbish they put out.

oh and your first line re dogs shampoo is a classic..rep given;)

I can't stand PETA but those traps do look unnecessarily cruel. Personally I'd use a cat or live traps to get rid of them.

Cat :24:

Speaking of cats and glue traps, anybody catch Untraceable? :D

Ah, I see, and I agree. Haha, thanks :D I'll rep ya back in a bit :)

Glue traps are rather inhumane. Mice/rats can't help what they were born as, nor can they help that they carry disease or urinate/poop at will, thats just how they are made.

Just because we, as humans, don't like a certain creature or want them in our houses .. doens't mean we have to torture them to death. A mouse can live ona glue trap for a week or more .. literally starving/dehydrating to death.

Live traps allow you to relocate them .. poison kills them within minutes .. and the snap traps break theri necks and kill them almost instantly. Any one of those are better than the glue traps. Personally, I have cats .. so I have no mice, but should one get in the house on occassion I use the snap type traps; it's over quickly, it doesn't see it coming, doesn't feel it I would imagine, and most importantly .. it doesn't suffer.

PETA definately does some off the wall shit; which usually makes people want to turn their head and not listen to anything they say .. their approach is not very endearing .. but I've always thought that the glue trap was a particularly horrid invention.

Remember that hiker who got trapped under a boulder and had to saw off his arm with a pocket knife?

I say we protest boulders.

DOWN WITH ROCKS!!!

I do see your point, but the snap traps don't always kill instantly. I've seen a mouse/rat in one that was still alive.

Also, why doesn't the animal that gets caught in the glue trap just move the trap with it? That's what I'd do. :)
