OMG!! I got a rude awakening this morning!! Around 4am tornadoes came through the town I live in!! :willy_nilly:

The windows were open in my room last night, and the wind kicked up and started making the blinds go crazy so Michelle got up to close the windows. We were almost back to sleep when all of a sudden this HUGE wall of wind just slammed into the house, it sounded like a freight train! It shook the entire house, scared the SHIT outta me!! Me and Shell got up and ran into the living room where everyone else was waking up and running to. We all went to the back of the house cause we really didn't have anywhere safe in the house to go, all the rooms, even the bathrooms and the laundry room, have windows! It died down and we all went outside to look (of course!) and there were trees and powerlines down all over the place. About that time it kicked up again and ANOTHER one ripped through the neighborhood a few streets over from us! God! It was crazy shit!! But other than a bunch of trash and broken shit, we're all okay. Which I am SO thankful for! If you could see the damage here, whew. I got a few pics with my phone but they aren't great. I'm just glad it wasn't worse!
 
We don't usually!! I've been through 2 other tornadoes, once back in my hometown here in NC and once when I lived in Mobile, Alabama. But neither of those seemed as scary or as real as this one did!!
 
Thanks.....yeah it's really scary! And you really don't have time to think! I always thought "Yeah if I was in a tornado I'd know what to do." Not even close, all I could do was grab Shell and run. It was on us before we even got to the living room! But I'm just glad that there was no one hurt at all. That's a miracle in itself.
 
Yes Gina, I agree, tornadoes are EVIL!! LOL!! We rarely ever have them here! I like it that way!

Dayuuuumn, that's some scary shit. That sound like something straight out of the movies. Dayuuumn. What a ting. You're lucky to come out of that.
 
LOL it was scary as hell, but no one was hurt, and they sounded worse than they were. True there was A LOT of damage but that's it, just stuff everywhere. Coulda been worse. But yeah, visions of "Twister" were running through my head throughout the day!

Its just funny becuz this building got blown down by one of these "micro bursts" and left everything in tact at this fair ground and everybody was having a "field day" in this small town 20 minutes away.
