Do you have OCD?

Ria is correct :)

My OCB qualities.. ugh.. I should not be teaching children with Autism with all of mine

I have to bring my own pillow and blanket if I ever stay at a hotel...Or... If I'm stressed for space (NYC) I sleep with something of mine over the pillow (like my hoodie) I also bring scrubbing bubbles for the shower... If I am the first person to take a shower out of whoever I stay with...

I have to remove any random hair stranglers from the shower before I take a shower.. I also have to check to make sure my shampoo and conditioner, razor and soap/ shaving cream are in there before I get in.. as if someone came in overnight and stole them....

The locks on my door will be the death of me.. I have to lock the knobs and dead bolts... tug it to try to open it... like TUG TUG hard... to make sure it wont accidentally open...then go check the back.. same thing... and then on my way back to my room, I tug the front door ONNNNNE more time..

The room I sleep in needs to have a locked door...anywhere... I live alone and do it... If the door is locked, I think I have a better chance of doing something if someone were to approach?

I have to purchase food items in even numbers.., instead of one gallon of milk.. I will buy 2- 1/2 gallons...

I will be back with more, I'm sure... some of them dont even come to mind they are so buried in my routines,, lol

Here's some of Amber's, since she won't share:

If she takes a straw out of the wrapper (at like a restaurant), she has to fold the wrapper a certain way

It's the same with gum

She's a symmetrical toucher. If she's going downstairs and one hand touches the rail, the other hand has to touch the other rail

At her old house, the stairs were carpeted, but the bottom step was wood. She would skip the bottom step because of the different texture

And there's gotta be 50 more I'm forgetting right now... :smiley24::smiley24::smiley24:

I do the wrapper thing.. Dominick pointed it out to me..

but I'm a wrapper presser... I foled it into halves... then smooth if out for about a frikkin 1/2 hour before I move it to the side and (try to) forget about it

I have to arrange certain things at right angles, have to, otherwise I get hot under the collar somewhat. When I was young I kept moving my finger around circular things but had to make sure my finger went all the way around. I once sat for 45 minutes moving my finger round and round a circular tub... Luckily I went the other way into more depressive tendencies as opposed to real OCD, though I still find it hard to write the number 8...

I do the above emboldened too. I have never had to shave my legs so I don't have the shaving cream, but also have to have my toothbrush and hair gel etc in there when I go for my shower too. However, I keep my toothbrush etc in my toilet bag. I never lay my things out on the basin or shelves in a hotel bathroom. I just cannot do that, *shudders at thought*.

Try to let my son lock the door at times, but I still have to go back to check it, to push it to make sure it's locked, so that didn't work. LOL

I asked my roomies earlier if they've noticed any OCB things about me and they pointed out a few....

When folding clothes I have to fold things an even number of times :dunno

The kitchen has to be clean BEFORE I cook, same thing goes with the bathroom. Like Jersey I can't have any little hairs ANYWHERE before I get in the shower or brush my teeth or anything!

I ALWAYS have to look in the shower before I sit down to pee :24: I physically open the shower curtain and look, then I close it again cause we have a window in the shower! :willy_nilly:

I'm sure there's many more but I have no idea some of the stuff I do is strange cause I've done it for so long! :p

Wow. Amazing.

And what is this thing with even numbers? Whoa.

LOL! I have no idea where I got the even numbers thing from, it just started bothering me when I got my license! :24: Everything suddenly had to be even numbers!! And my baby sister is much worse than I am about it! :willy_nilly:

I guess I have OCB. The only true things that pretty much rule my life OCD-wise are the even numbers things, and the symmetrical touching.

Everything is even numbers if I think of it.

Same here. My friend Brandon gets so mad at me because when he turns up the radio to an odd number, I have to go up one notch to the next even number :D

Also, I have some that symmetrical touch thing. I don't do it to everything(Obviously, not in school, but I do it in public sometimes), but if I touch something with one side of my body, a hand, foot, whatever, I have to touch it with other side. Or in the cases of a doorway, if If I touch the left side of the wall with my left hand, I touch the right side with my right hand. I think the weirdest thing I have is that when I'm typing in a password on Myspace, I hit the two enter buttons twice each :ninja

And I won't even go into detail about my routine for OTz :D

Im bad to second guess things im sure about...did i lock the door, did i turn the stove off, and lots of others. It bothers me until i go double check, but the whole time i know it was done.

OMG, I am like that with lights. Did I turn off the bathroom light, the kitchen light, etc. I'll walk through the whole place before I go anywhere.

Charlie...quick...check if I closed the freezer all the way or the ice cream will defrost. ARGH

I'm also like this, to the point that it pisses people off :24: Any time I go out, I'm like, "Shit, shit, did I lock the door?!".

If I start something and someone tries to interrupt me I get really frustrated and have to start again or just get really mad, I also have a habit that when I walk past a tree, I HAVE to pick a leave off it.. =\ If I already have a leave, I don't need to pick another one lol

I'm weird..

I do those too. It's funny though, when you get weird looks, like, "Why are you taking that leaf dude?!".

Um...my radio volume in my car always has to be on an even number, and can NEVER stop on the number 6!

Same here, but without the "number 6" deal.

She's a symmetrical toucher. If she's going downstairs and one hand touches the rail, the other hand has to touch the other rail

At her old house, the stairs were carpeted, but the bottom step was wood. She would skip the bottom step because of the different texture

As I said, I do the first one. The second thing, I do that with the steps outside my house. I skip the top step because it's half-wood(The porch portion of it), and half-cement.

I think my worst OCB tendency is that if I think I like a song, I'll listen to it like, 10+ times, just over and over, until I get sick of it. Then I'm satisfied with it enough to decide I like it.

oh yeah
I have bipolar II
my ocd is mainly things sitting in a orderly fashing
aligned
and i see things like in 3D
as in when i walk in a room and see whats there i recognize anything that is not
aligned and can visualize what everthing looks like from the back side
i can see a grid like the matrix but just lines and measurements

and my social problems are i look very calm but blurt out anything where
that is not about what is going on

i feel like i can read people minds by looking at there facial expressions
and body movements

and i have yet to be incorrect in my analysis

when i tell people about these things they just think im either full of it
or nutz and usually stop listening to me

I fold just about anything and then rarely throw it away.

I also symmetrically chew my food. I yelled at Donnie for stealing one of my tater tots the other day because I thought it was going to make me have an odd number.

I have a certain order I doing things when I take a shower, get ready in the morning, pass out snack at work and so on. It really throws me off when it gets messed up.

I'm sure there's more that I can't think of right now.

I sometimes count things. The number of pieces of glass in a stained glass windows. The number of stop signs before I get to a destination. The number of angles in a scene. The number of times a wire is coiled. Ugh. Yes, it's all stupid. :(

So do I! I never thought anyone else in the world counted things like I do, Sometimes I'll keep starting over my count too, It's freakin' weird! I also have OCD about dishes, I can't leave the kitchen if there is even ONE dish in the sink it just drives me crazy. What a weirdo I am :smiley24:
