I need advice on my hair and dying hair extensions...

I bought hair extensions awhile ago, and they just came in yesterday from the states.
They're 18" and 100% real human hair...
I don't know what I was thinking at the time, but besides the bright red ones that I bought (which I love) I also bought bright green ones...
Which look horrible on me. They're not even a nice green, they're like...a neon green and they look really fake.

I'm just wondering if anyone has dyed hair extensions before and how that turned out for them...

The green won't turn a yucky colour if I attempt to dye it black, right?

Okay...i'm really bored, so i'm going to tell you about my plans for my hair :D
It's kind of short right now, but it's almost to my shoulders in the front, and shorter and spiked/lifted (with hairspray) in the back.

How does this sound?:
I'm going to dye it black, along with my extenions. I'm going to get just the hair on the back of my head buzzed, my bangs trimmed shorter and more in my face, shorter layers on my real hair so I can poof and backcomb it more...and more texture on my hair extensions (and maybe a trim because they're really long).
Oh and I want steps too.

What do you think?

my daughter has the clip in ones theyre great and dont knacker your hair.
i spent 5 years with braided in ones and got all sorts of probs so no have an array of headrazor clip in ones ,im probobly wearingthem in my pics on here..couldnt live without them

I haven't heard of anyone getting the braided ones in...how does that work?
I haven't had hair extensions before.
I'm excited to have long hair ... and without acctually having to care for long hair or wait to grow it out.

Doesn't matter the kind they are, (clip in, braid in or sew in), if they are 100% human hair, dye them like you would the hair on your head. Nothing to worry about.

If you wear them daily, they actually do screw with your hair. It's like wearing a pony tail all day long, day in that out. You will rub the hair into split ends.
I wore them for a bit after I dyed my hair back to my natural color, (from blond), and man, it was so great to get rid of those things!

Mine are really light. They're acctually highlights (they're the only human hair ones i can find in funky colours) and they're not the big heavy ones that go around your head, because i don't need any for the back.
There's six each.

I would take them to a salon to have them dyed. They were probably (atleast) a good hundred bucks right? It'll probs cost you atleast 25 bucks to do them yourself because you'd probably need 2 boxes of store dye to coat all the hair if it's 18inches. Most salons will dye extensions for around 50 bucks. It'll save you time and effort and they know what they're doing. ESPECIALLY with a colour like green. That would be tricky and probably pretty easy to screw up.

What color are you looking at dying them? Unless you're bleaching them, you're perfectly fine with doing this at home.

BTW, I don't know where you live, if you're in the states or what not, but the best results I've gotten were from Nice & Easy and Loreal Preference.

hope that helps
