Why is it...

... that I have a problem with the one thing I don't have insurance for?

Eating some sliders today for lunch, more of my tooth decides to chip off. Didn't notice it for over an hour.

Getting this damn thing drilled out and filled is going to kill my budget. :(

I noticed shit like that happnens to me all the time. I've always had insurance. The moment it gets cancelled, I get fucking sick. :smiley24:

I have health, disability, vision, yada yada... but no dental, and it's the ONLY thing that keeps going wrong. I fought hard for dental, but my company wouldn't pay for it because it is expensive insurance to pay for... but I don't need vision. Eye exams are a whopping 48 bucks, do that once every year or 2 years glasses/exams are cheap. But what happens when I eat something and break a tooth? I pay for it out of pocket. It's more of an emergency situation insurance to have.

Flouride toothpaste sucks. I think it's done more harm than good.

What is a slider? (the thing that broke your tooth?)

I dont know if they have place like they do here where you live but for people that dont have dental insurance there is a place for "low income people and people w/o dental insurance" that do extractions and etc for a real low cost. I bet they do some serious business because going to the dentist with insurance is expensive

yeah what in the hell is a slider James??

It's a mini hamburger with onions, ketchup, mustard, etc.

A slider is a burger from White Castle I think.

James you can work out a payment plan with most dentists. NOTHING hurts like a toothache man, take some action soon.

It doesn't hurt. it just fucking chipped. :(

Just from my own idiotic experience with a chipped tooth, I wouldnt let it go for very long. When my son was an infant, he headbutted me and chipped one of my teeth. I put it off for a long time until one day out of the clear blue it started hurting like a mofo! I would have rather gone thru childbirth again than to have the pain of a toothache. Then I had to find a dentist that could take walk in emergencys. It ended up costing me a buttload in the end.

I made sure since I have started my job that I have had dental insurance. I take very good care of my teeth. I go to the dentist every 6 months as recommended.
