Frustrated on who to vote for?

Are you frustrated about who to vote for?

I AM!

I do not agree with the Republican candidates on many social service & environmental issues and I don't agree with the Democratic candidates on many of the moral and military issues.

It is honestly so frustrating to me! All of these issues are important and I don't like having to decide which issues I am going to have to just do without so to speak. :( Prioritizing them are difficult.

So far Hillary, Huckabee, Hunter, and McCain are my top choices based on the issues and me being 60% or more agreeable with them. And Hunter won't make it, he may even be out already - I don't know. And I can't see myself ever voting for Hillary as I don't trust her. So it looks like it will be either Huckabee or McCain for me. But I am not happy with that vote either, because there are certain issues that I feel strongly about changing here at home. Ugh!!!!!!!

People that I definitely will not be voting for because I don't agree with them on over 1/2 of the issues are Kucinich, Obama, Biden (I'm pretty sure he is out of the race), Guliani, Brownback (I think he is out of the race), Gravel, or Cox.

This is all really irritating. Has anyone else really thought about how they personally feel on the issues, prioritized the issues and then researched the candidates? Are you feeling frustrated as well?

This is not a debate thread. I am just wondering where other Americans are in the process of going through the issues and the candidates. Are you going to go for party? For the person? Or for the Issues?

As one can tell, I go with the issues first, and then if that is tied I go with the reliability and character of the person to break the tie. I have this problem every election because my political party is not a major party. I'm a Centrist and in the state of AZ there are not even enough of us to be listed as an independent party. :smiley24:

Anywho? What says you? :)

I like Ron Paul because he seems like the only one who is really pushing for something different. But lets face it, he will not get elected.

Other than him I have no idea who to vote for yet. This election will be the first time I vote.

I was going to say: I'll vote Ron Paul in the primaries, (coming Feb 5th), but he obviously won't get the nomination, so then that leaves me, who doesn't like voting for either Republicans or Democrats to seek out a "third party" candidate in the presidential election.

Simple for me. They all suck, I am so tired of the back slapping, and shady deals in Washington.

It's time for a change, straight across the board. I LOVE McCain, and I always have both in Senate as an individual, he as somewhat clean hands.

BUT as far as change, really jumping in and trying to do the right thing.

I say Obama, he is this elections best of the worst.

Hands down, 100%.

I have a lot of reasons for saying that, but I'm not interested in starting a war in Grace's thread.

Nothing wrong with that. Now if we could only have a President AND a Congress who would actually do something about ILLEGALS and not pander to the Corporate Elite. But it'll never happen no matter how many of the presidential candidates state otherwise in their "vote for me" speeches.

I would be okay with McCain. No matter what I agree or dis-agree with him on, I get the unshakable impression that he is a man of integrity.

I think of all the candidates, he has the best chance of unifying the country again. Libs don't hate him as much as they hate true conservatives, and Conservatives don't hate him as much as they hate Clinton / Obama / Pelosi. I wonder if lack of hate is enough to simulate the effects of love?

If he was harder on illegal immigration, it'd be locked in my mind.
