Last film you watched

Since I watched these in quick succession:

Burn After Reading - Well made, failed to bring me along for the ride. Not really a fan of the Coens in general. Loved No Country, though.

The Conformist - Amazing. Colours, cinematography, lighting and shadows, acting, script = Awesome.

Taken - As I said on criticker, "It gets such a high score because it's loads of awesome and breaks a lot of action hero moral codes. No, it's not exactly Casablanca but fuck it, I don't give a shit."

Max Payne - Right on atmosphere. Some of it is faithful (but too many people put too much emphasis on something being exactly like the games). Pretty serious. Has flaws but it's slightly above average.

Grosse Pointe Blank - John Cusack is a great actor. It doesn't matter what role he plays, he oozes charisma. Though the movie is largely satirical and relies on dark humour, there is heart in the story, and the action scenes are pretty right on. Too often in action comedies and the like, the action scenes are boring. Not so here. A strong recommendation.

this is england

:thumbup Top film even if the NF using the St George instead of the Union Jack is inaccurate.

Cass - seriously, watch it, great film, it's a true story and isn't full of glorified football violence like that Green Street shit, more about Cass dealing with racism, from both blacks and whites and learning to turn his back on all the violence. One of the best films I have seen in a while and something which will appeal to West Ham and non West Ham alike.
