Yep, in about another 2 billion years, we're gonna collide with the Andromeda Galaxy. Can't really find a decent article about it, but I've heard about it in separate places. I found a neat little show about it on the internets, but I losted it. 
Anyways, yeah, scientists found out that the Andromeda and the Milky Way galaxies are headed towards each other. It's not going to destroy the earth or anything as far as I know, so I wish I could get to see it. A lot. Because when it gets close to happening, the Andromeda Galaxy's pretty much gonna be taking up the entire night sky. It's gonna be amazing.
But, we'll all probably be consumed by the son long before this happens, so... sucks for us.
