My daughter wanted this doll that swims and the thing was sold out all over town, and of course me being the last minute shopper that I am was like aww Dammit now what!! This is the one thing she really wanted santa to bring so......... I just spent 74.00 shipping included on a swimming baby on Amazon (that was only 24.00 at walmart), that she will probably play with for a week!!! Oh and the thing better come by christmas it was insane shipping. :willy_nilly:

YEah, you're crazy, but I'd do the same thing...hell, I got my kids a couple of things at Hamley's in London that would have cost nearly $125 to have shipped over here...but we were about to do that anyway. I just got lucky and had to take a business trip over there before Christmas!

I still remember my parents dropping my brother and I off at a friends house overnight so that could get to the stores super early one Christmas: That was the Christmas we got the GI Joe aircraft carrier and the Voltron sets...best Christmas ever!!!

I stood in line for 4 hours.....4 hours.....4 hours waiting for the OPPORTUNITY ti get a Wii, and then wound up spending $600 by the time it was all said and done with.

I am not sure you can help it when your a parent.

I spent $500 on a PS3 .. you're not crazy it's Cmas. Everyone deserves to get at least 1 of the things they REALLY wanted for Cmas.

The girl I work with wanted a pink Cmas tree SOOOOOO badly. He BF wouldn't buy her one .. so I did. I bought a small one that sits on her desk .. she says everytime she look sat it it makes her happy.

Your daughter will be the same exact way!

I just like people to be happy at Cmas .. and she was totally bummed about the tree. She couldn't afford one herself .. so I knew she wouldn't get one otherwise.

She told her BF that the "new girl at work" loved her more than he did :24: .. and he went out and bought her a tree that night :24:.

I told her the next day ... "score!"
