I love ice skating though, always have. There is something dreamy about it and it is so talented.

Now then, you and football/rugby, yeah, that sounds right...:)

Well, I think they had some amazing moments and some times they were robbed too, cos there were fixing of the scores going on left right and centre in those days.

They deserved that gold millions of times over. :)

I aint joking with you, I have a wide appreciation and open mind about many things and for the record, they were robbed when they came back in that later Olympics by snotty nosed judges who were ageist!:mad

Well then, yes, they were robbed, we agree there huh.

I miss having that on BBC2 like it used tobe all the time - I have eurosports, but it's not as good - still, I get to see it when I can, but I do miss a lot of it.
 
My two favorite moments (that happened during my lifetime) :

Baggio kicking his penalty over the crossbar to give Brazil the world cup in '94. I was just getting into soccer and it was an insanely exciting game. Brazilian football is a joy to watch.

And Joe carter hitting a homerun in '93 to give my hometown Toronto Blue Jays their second straight world series!
