You need raw data, serum and Red Blood Cell Count along with certain protein synthesis in the blood.
Well the doctors were worried when her carbon dioxide level was 70
In short, that is abnormally high, that basically means excess saturation of CO2.

And when she came in it was 128
That basically means she was not processing it, it was staying saturated in the blood and basically poisoning her.
In laymens terms
Isn't Carbon Dioxide stale oxygen?
It's processed O2
It is poison to your body. Not stale oxygen. The oxygen we breathe is O2
We exhale CO...Carbon Monoxide, and a small percentage of CO2

I thought they liked CO2 not COWhy do you think plants like us talking to them.
They absorb CO and convert it to O2
They can process either, prefer CO2
CO is a poison to basically everything, but plants can endure it
So why do trees die around volcanoes leaking CO2?
