i bought it to turn around and sell it for nice profit.

instead, i sold it to a buddy of mine for 280, which, after taxes, netted me 13...

(it will make him and his girl forget about the wii christmas morning, if ya know what i mean)

the ps3 is actually an awesome computer. 8( 9-core processor, really ) that has a small amount of memory (256 mb) for it's class, but that runs at the processor's speed, 3.2ghz (you will not see that in a regular computer for some time... highest is about 1.8ghz, relative), and a second shot of 256 mb for other things. the graphics is an nvidia custom "rsx" processor, using gddr3 or gddr4... and is the only current generation console with native 1080p !...

imagine a computer, running 1080p, and running 3 operating systems: xp, linux, osx, and hell, maybe even a fourth: vista? ...

of course, you would have to have a virtual machine in order to run either of the windows and osx, but linux is supported right from sony: yellow dog linux.

anyways, i am going to do some quick programming and such...

so, i shall be slightly less ... interactive for a few mintues...
 
I think he should like it, and I'm glad the guy at the counter told me that I needed the 80gb PS3, as opposed to the 40 or 60 gb, to play PS2 games. Otherwise I'd have one mad little kidola when I had to take it back LOL.
 
no doubt .. I was like DAMMIT (because if you bought the 40gb you got a $50 walmart gift card, but not with the 80gb), but I was also like WHEW at the same time .. and begrudgenly forked over the extra $100 lol.

I grumbled a LOT though LOL.
