Whispers in The Black

I'm trapped, locked in
without a key.
listen, the voices
they call to me

They tell me to run,
tell me to hide
they force me to listen.
Why!?! I cried.

I sat and I hoped,
kneeling to pray,
whispering softly -
"Help me through this day"

My fingers were numb.
my palms, filled with sweat
drenched in tears
making my face wet.

In my mind I panic,
outside I scream.
why is this not over,
this horrible dream.

The lights all go out
the doors, they close.
my world goes dark,
in fear, I froze

Hush! The voices.
They speak quietly.
listen, they are talking.
talking... to me.


It's hard to tell, but it's about a dream I once had.

I woke up, wrote it down and then went back to sleep, just had to get it out of my system.
