I'm an american and I don't understand it.
Yeah. If you're on defense, and you tackle the quarterback or the ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage, that is a loss.
In football, you have 4 "tries" to make 10 yards.
Let's say you start at your own 20 yard line. That is the line of scrimmage for the first play. You have to make it to the 30 yard line in 4 "downs" or you give up possession of the ball.
Let's say on the first play, the quarterback gets sacked (tackled) on the 10 yard line. That is 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage and a loss of 10. Now you have 3 plays left to make it 20 yards to the 30 yard line.

now things are going sup fabulous with the setting up of the UK fan club,we now have offices and there is a rumour that we may get some UK media cover.
i have been working sup hard on staffing the office,all hot asian chicks on the phone lines now..im thinking some kind of sexy tight american football type uniform for them for that sup corporate image.
we have been inundated with calls from members of the UK fan club for photos,signed with sup bro if possible.perhaps if you could donate some clothing or underwear we could get them framed and on the office walls.
