Why do people always worry about what others have to say about them?

Well I personally don't care what people say about me, but some people would because they are self-conscious, and strive to be as perfect as they can, which can either be a good or bad thing, by either pushing them to do better, or pushing them over the limit, and making them crazy. That's what happens in school shootings half the time.

Why do we all need acceptance of those we love?

Because we love them. Also because we want to make sure they love and care for us as well.
