Ever heard of the "dimes" thing?

I was trying to drunk explain this last weekend to V and Audra and whoever else was there... but have any of ya's ever heard of the... superstition.. i guess?

When you lose a love one-- they leave dimes out of place behind to let you know they are thinking about you...

For instance- I got brandy new couches right before the girls and Tim got to my house. V and I were taking the new pull out couch out(its still friggin wrapped in plastic) and theres a dime just sitting there... I find them every 2 or 3 days (I have quite a lost loved ones) and it brightens my day quite a bit...
The 10th anniversary of my best friend's Tricia's death is coming up November 17th- and this is the time of year I always find them like crazy






I am asking now that none of you rain on my parade about this... true or not, it makes me smile... DONT mess this is up for me...

this is the part thats awesome girl!! keep your chin up its the little things that we need to make us feel better when a sad times approaching and it looks like you have that every year.

I've never heard of that one myself, but things happen to me all the time as you know from my thread about this and anything like that is a warm comfort to me. So, you keep that as your warm comfort too - it happens for a reason girl. :)
 
just to clarify... its not like finding a dime in a place where you may have left.. its usually in odd places that cant be explained any other way- if you chose to believe... heres some of the places ive found them

-in the pullout bed of a new couch
-in the bath tub
-jammed into my printer
-the bottom of a bag of dog food
-behind a picture frame hung on the wall
-under my christmas tree stand
-in the sealed envelope of my college acceptance letter (that one made me cry-- it was definitely my grandma there!)
-in a coffee cup in the cabinet (this happened on tricia's birthday 10/9- so that was her saying... "dont forget to visit me biotch!:))
-in a bag of apples from the grocery store




things like that.. not just like "oops i dropped a dime, and here it is" kinda thing
 
I had never heard of this either, but you can be sure I'll be wondering when dimes pop up in out-of-the-way places.

Wow, that IS really unusual Jersey. Definitely something to take note of.
 
I am now officially spooked. I got up this morning, and headed to the bathroom. There was a dime on the floor that I noticed, between the trash can and the wall.
