it means you get 26.12 square feet (a little over 5' wide by 5' long) for 36 bucks. You have to figure out what the squarefootage of your room is.

(width x length)

Laminate "wood" flooring is basically just 'wood' that you lay down and hammer in (its fairly easy). I helped put it in at my brothers, sisters and friend Gregs house.

Laminate doesn't peel off, you're thinking of linoleum if not glued properly.

not the particular one i posted, but i did see that as well.

Interlocking is the kind you want. Shims, a hammer and time will be all you need.

Get a measuring tape and measure your rooms' width and length, then overshoot it by a foot or two. That'll give you plenty to work with.

SOME cutting may be needed.

Can you wait until this Sunday? I'll bring my tools and go to Lowes with you and show you everything you need to know. I installed flooring for years. :)

My dad owned his own business in flooring for years. Laminates are probably your best choice if you are looking for best bang for buck. They are very very very durable, easy to maintain, and a hell of a lot easier to install then real hardwood floor. When you are measuring for a floor, you cant just go by exact square footage, especially since your room isnt perfectly square. All you really need is a rubber hammer and something to cut the stuff with and your good to go. Just remember when installing, since its a floating floor, you cant install exactly up against the wall...you need to leave about 1/4-3/8 inch for the floor to expand/breathe. :) Hope this helps.

You just gotta multiply 20x15=300 sq. Then, 300/24.12(for how much each carton covers) = 12.43, so round up to 13 cartons.

By the way... if you get the right kind... talk about durable! My dad tried to slice one with a razorblade, and it didnt leave a scratch on it! So with my doggie running around, and 2 boys... it was really useful. But now we have some engineered hardwood... which I HATE... it shows up every single scrach on the floor. :( So dont get that!!! haha
