My daughter, 3 years old at the time, walked into my bedroom and turned on the TV for some reason. It was a few minutes before the first plane hit at the time. I sat there for the next hour and a half just watching....in shock.

*My daughter had left my room after turning on the TV; I still have no idea why she did it. I asked her many times since, but she still says, "I don't know."

I saw it from my class window my freshman year in college. I was pretty high (yes, in the morning), and then I saw NY exploding and screamed out "OH WTF IS THAT SHIT". The professor next door ran into the room and said a single engine plane crashed into one of the towers (how badly he was mistaken) and then when we were all staring at the towers, it exploded again and then we were all made to evacuate the college.

Still remember it like it was yesterday too. I can't believe it's been 6 yrs. Crazy shit.

I had just gotten off work that morning and was just settling in bed to go to sleep. Couldnt go to sleep, needless to say.

I was in bed. I was stationed in North Carolina at the time and was working nights.

My wife came home from college and told me about it. About 15 minutes after the second one went down, my phone started ringing, and we had all been recalled to base. :(

I was watching a video, switched it off at the end and that came on telly, one tower was already down and it took a while for what had happened to sink in, kept thinking "I'm sure there were two towers there!"

R.I.P all the victims.

Agree with Maria about that last bit though.:(

I was in second grade and I barely remember any of it...I remember my sisters telling me what happened when i got home even though the school did inform me of it. They explained it in further detail and i didn't understand. I'm not sure i even knew what the twin towers were.

it sounds crazy that someone wouldnt remember it.. not as a stab against you-- but its so vivid in my mind still-- i sometimes wish i were younger when it happened so that it didnt leave such an impression on me...
