i do find myself talking in accent if im with someone for any length of time... like in NYC- i had some type of southern/canadian accent goin on... dunno how that works..

That happens to me too. I was born and raised in south detroit (I feel a song in there somewhere) and I felt we had no accent. Then I moved away to NC for most of my adult life. I am sure I picked up some of the y'all crap somewhere along the way. Well, when I went back up to MI to visit my friend, he sounded like a damn Canadian almost. I hope I never sounded like that
