I like Dylan, but the wife thinks it's too 90210-ish.

If it was Dylan, his middle name would be Marshall.

I think it sounds like a strong name. The few Dominics I knew in school were always assured, confident, and popular.

But I'm with Audra on the Nicky for a nickname; I don't like it.

My dad is William Williams Jr. He wanted my brother to be the third but my mom vetoed that one.

One of the reason I like Dominic so much is that it's uncommon but not weird. He's not going to be Dominic T. for the the rest of his life (where I ended up being one of three Ambers in 4th grade) but people aren't going to give him funny looks for it. I was talking with a woman I work with who named her first daughter Nyah. Her mother flipped out (one of the baby shower games was "What should they name the baby" after she told them) but now can't imagine her with a different name.
