Lots more to read yet, oi.

One of my favorites. Love Thomas Hardy novels. Have you read Jude the Obscure? IMO, his best.

No I haven't, I only picked up Tess cos it was on Special Offer.

It took me a while to get into it becuase I'd just finished Jane Eyre and was getting a bit tired of the Victorian long-winded style of writing but I thought the plot was brilliant.

Saw the film, was mainly good because Kate Winslet gets her gash out in it.:thumbup

I'm reading Feel the fear and do it anyway by Susan Jeffers. When I was out the other night I was a bit down about a lot of stuff going on right now and some guy I was talking to recommended this book. He even popped home and got it and lent it to me so I feel slightly obliged to read it. Pretty good, so far.

I finished the 12th book of the Dresden Files, and I am craving a book with the same wicked humor and engaging plot. Any suggestions?

I read the Authors note to Mary Queen of Scotts by Antonia Fraser. I shall start reading it properly tomorrow on the bus.

That is a great book and she's an awesome author, even if her dad was a nut job who hated gays and wanted to free Myra Hindley. Shame her husband got blown up by the IRA. Read her book about Charles II too if you get the chance.:thumbup

I'm slowly working my way through all her books becuase she is amazing. I've read Marie Antoinette and The 6 Wives of Henry VIII and I was hoping to get the one about Charles II or Oliver Cromwell next.
