I was just watching Live With Regis and this guy held he's breath for 15 min , the old record was 14.25 :eek: oh he was under water in a tank.;)

right when i was a young man i could hold my breath for 3 min when diving and that was hard but damn 15 min thats wild.:eek

Yeah when i was little i think i got up to 2 mins. thats before i started drinking, smoking..... and "smoking". haha i would be lucky to get 30 seconds now

yeah i thought it was a medical fact, that when the brain goes without oxygen for longer than 5 mins, brain damage will occur

He had oxygen .. in his lungs, when he ran out he came to the surface.

People can train their lungs to hold more and more oxygen by practicing.

Your lungs are just like an oxygen tank .. they hold so much and you can use them until they run out .. then you either have to get more or die.

ya, i saw some blokes on some random program where they were hunting fish underwater with no technological help, they used pointy sticks :p
just over 5 mins they were under for, and this was with much movement so that they could swim and skewer.

training would have definitely taken place before that
