So I asked my parents like 2 weeks ago to locate my birth cert....they told me they had it, and when they said that I thought they already had looked. Well today I reminded them to bring it to me, and then a few hours later they call me and tell me they can't find it! I was upset because I thought they had already located it for me. So now on Monday I have to drive to New Orleans and back, so I can get my birth cert. I don't even know if this place still exists there or not, I have to call tomorrow and see and make sure they didn't move, I have a feeling they probably did. This makes me seriously sick to my stomach, I will be sooooo upset if I can't go on my honeymoon because of this crap.

Aww.. Im sorry to hear that. That totally sucks. Cant you call them before driving there to make sure they are still there? Im sure it will turn up soon.

yes I am going to call them tomorrow. I know I have never ever had my BC in my house with me, if it is anywhere it's either lost, or at my parents house...they have turned the house upside down looking for it and I'm not going to waste any more time. I found some passport place downtown that i might be able to work something out with, since I have an expired passport...this is just a HUGE headache that I really really do not want to deal with right now.

i have an expired passport, and no birth certificate...to get on the cruise ship i need both a birth certificate and stateID OR a valid passport.

Did you call the health department where you are now and see if they can get it faxed over? They usually do that for people who have moved, so you don't have to fly to CA from WA if you have moved, ya know.

They don't expect you to take a cross country trek . Try it .. you may be suprised. I know they do it here in AL, so I'm pretty sure they do it other places.

I called, and I do have to either order it online, which could take 30 days to recieve, or I can go there in person. BUT I don't have to drive to new orleans, they have an office in Lake Charles, which is only about 2.5 hours from me, so that's half as far and not as bad. I'll go on monday. haha this is just CRAZY. But I'm not gonna let it bug me anymore. nope.
