carbon monoxide

have you ever known anyone to die of carbon monoxide poisoning? I'm just wondering how common it actually is.

Not too common unless you leave your car running in a closed garage for an extended period of time.

i dont personally know anyone... ive heard it on the news a few times... usually in run down apt buildings that dont keep up with maintenance i think

A gas leak isn't carbon monoxide, it'd have to be an exhaust leak from a furnace or water heater.

I do need to get a carbon monoxide detector (well, a new one) for my house so I can keep ahead of a leak from my basement.

But anyway, sorry I don't know of anyone personally. Hopefully it doesn't happen to me and BDN.

I think it'll be fine, I just want to get a new carbon mon. detector and mount it so it's not laying on the furnace itself.

He moved in the day after I did, right at the beginning of april.
