Since my roommate isn't moving in with me, I might get a dog.

I kinda like small yippee dogs, but then they're always so loud and jump around on everything.

Bigger dogs, like the ones that scare the piss outta you... not too sure I like.

I was thinking about getting a Golden Retriever. My brother had one that died unexpectedly a few months back, she sold me on dogs. Such a great, quiet dog with a playful attitude when she got energy. Always happy to see you when you walk in.

Your pugs are great Heather, but I'm not too sure I really like them... whats their temperment like?

Any other puppy suggestions?

You should get a long-haired Chihuahua. I could even send you handmade sweaters to dress him/her in! You can pick the colours! :D

well-- they have a really loyal personality. they need and seek out attention.. they dont yipyap or annoying bark and nothing at all

i've always had black labs... well-- of course before the pugs... they have an awesome personality- but they wouldnt fit in my house.. so i went with something smaller

and that is the run down on any dogs i know :)

Well I like them, but i don't know if I want to be yelling at it to shut up for the next 15 years. Goldens rock, but my buddies dog is hilarious... wish I could remember the name of it.

Get a medium sized dog. the smalled the dog, the smaller its brain. get a dog you can see yourself lovng. When you get a dog your getting a miror of yourself in a way. Dont get purebreed's though. they cost alot. Mixbreeds are usually cheap or free and are usually the smarter.

Get something with Australian shephard in it.

I dunno, we used to have a Siderian Huskie (sp) It was a great dog, but we got rid of him because I was sick of my friends complaining about it jumping up and trying to sex them.

here's a good dog story...

when i was born, my father had his 2 german shepards (zeus and zorro) that my mom hated cuz they barked so much... so they brought me home from the hospital... and my dad laid me in my crib in my lil baby nursery room... and said to Z & Z "protect baby heather" and from that moment on... they would pee in front of my door every morning.

austrailian shepherds would be good. Or a corgi! :) corgi's are great. Seriously, if you have never met one in person, you really should. They have more personality in their pinky toe than most other dogs I've ever met.

Beagles are a good size, very intelligent & are great to have around. I grew up with golden labbies & they are definitely the most loving of all dogs, but they do have a hair problem.
