I would like to give kudos to the 2 air angels here for a job above and beyond.

At the “cabin fever” party yesterday/last night while the club was enjoying a good time, a lady from a house on the street came banging at the club house door, her husband had collapsed shoveling heavy wet snow. The nurses dropped everything and ran out the door, both in nothing but jeans and T shirts and socks, in freezing rain and snow.
Angel assessed him as she slid to a stop on her knees next to him, and immediately began CPR, with Lindy right behind and resuscitation. The girls worked on this old guy till Rescue arrived and related all info to the Paramedic and EMT on board. In the ambulance Angel and Lindy continued their efforts while the local ER was contacted and instructions relayed. The EMS crew used the EMD and got a faint rhythm form the guy, Angel and Lind got out and closed the doors and the guy was hauled to the ER, not real stable, but nonetheless alive. And in true life flight form, Angel stayed in contact with the ER till the guy was pronounced stable and alert.

So ladies, once again
You impressed the shit outa me ;)

Nothing special, natural reflex I guess. I will admit we probably react quicker than most.

Big bro likes to make a big deal outa stuff like that. He doesn't get it tho, I choose this career a long time ago, and choose life flight trauma almost since it's inception.
Everybody should learn CPR, it doesn't take long 1/2 day in most cases, and usually free.

Anyway, as for the 68 y/o, he was in arrest when we ran up, I compressed on him while lindsey was breathing for him. My nextel is on a secure rescue network, and we were within the area, so when Lind was breathing, I called in the vitals I could get and requested rescue x2 (ambulance with paramedic ) and we worked till they got there, and helped stabilize and load. He was fibbed in the ambulance and achieved a faint sinus rythym. we put a 12 lead monitor on him and he was on his way. I called the hopsital today and he is in ICU recovering from a triple bypass.
But he's still here, that's what counts.

Just another day, I dunno, doin our job
