if you got something small on your shoulder blade, it wont hurt that bad. It would be over before you know it...and then i'm sure when you're going to bed that same night you'll be planning on what you can get next

I have a friend who was thinking about gauging his ears. Has anyone here done this? I've heard once you go past a certain stage there is no going back.

I've gaged my ears, but they were that big of a gage...i forget the size, but it was decent. You have to start out small and work you're way up gage by gage. If you don't you can tear things and it won't go back...also if you get to a certain size there is no going back...but that's pretty big.

I'm considering having my missus name tattooed on my neck. Does anyone know how this feels? I've heard its very painful but I'd like to do it when I have the money as a sign of my love to her, any advice?

My advice .. don't ever get another person's name tattooed on your body.

It doesn't matter how committed to them you are or how in love .. you just never know what might go on down the road (with you or them). Then you are left with another person's name on your body (which if you date again, doesn't really impress your new prospective other very much) or you have to get an ugly cover up tattoo.

Exception to this rule: a child, or a dead family members names.

my fiance has 3...he says it dont hurt all that much...so i am going to trust him on this one..plus alot of other people also say that it dont hurt all that bad

They dont hurt like getting a shot or something... it feels more like a scratch. Occasionally you will hit a spot that hurts though and nerves kinda pinch... thats how it was for all 3 of mine. They cover quite an expanse too. :muscles:

My experience was that getting the tat didn't "hurt" as much as it burned.

The needle moving in and out of your skin gives off a burning sensation (kinda like if you've ever had acrylic nails put on .. and if they file for too long how it gets hot and burns for a sec) .. but they stop and spray you with this green liquid ever so often to give your skin a break.

Or that's what they did with mine (both time I had it done).

as far as pain goes it also depends on the area being tattooed. i feel asleep while getting the one on the back of my neck, after the initial sting it flt like a massage. my feet and chest have been the worst so far ( aimpits suck too)

I'd imagine getting one on the back of your neck might be a little more painful than any other area...I just couldn't take a needle tapping on my spinal cord....YUCK!!
