What's your favorite kitchen appliance?

The microwave in the kitchen here at work just broke down and people reacted as though it was the apocalypse.

So, I ask, do you have a favourite kitchen appliance? Or one that you simply cannot live without?

ive had a broken microwave since november. Yesterday I flagged down the maintenance man who was walking outside, ad turns out even though i have gone down there once a week, EVERY week, they NEVER EVEN GOT THE WORK ORDER! It was the dumb bitch that works in the office who never wrote it up. But the maintenance man was nice, and THAT NIGHT brought and installed a BRAND new microwave for me! It is higher voltage and very cute looking. I love it.

Hard to say.

I suppose I could make toast in the oven, and I suppose I could manage without a blender... but I really do love my blender. And my fridge. And my oven. Oh, and my dishwasher.

My favourite is probably my blender, though. That thing is damn useful.

My brother has one of those fridges that can dispense cold water, broken ice, or crushed ice & I want one. I have ice in every drink, even in the middle of winter, & this fridge is just great.

Well, as for me, I'd probably say that the oven is my favorite. I mean, how else would I cook my daily breakfast of egg, spam, sausage, baby, and spam? Impossible without an oven!

I know this sounds really petty but contrary to popular opinion we don't drink warm beer. In real ale we just don't freeze all the taste out of it! It's served at a cool temperature. If I got given a warm beer I'd take it back to the bar and demand another one that wasn't served poorly. Sorry if that sounds really anal but real ale is a big hobby of mine and I can't stand these myths that we're all fat, tweed and sandal beardys sitting around drinking warm beer. sometimes i do :tongue: Ruby Red ale isn't nice chilled whatsoever

anyhoo, definitely the toaster, i cant face the day without a lovely peace of toast in the morning

Kettle is my second choice but i could give up coffee if i put my mind to it
