So I went to work today, unlike yesterday when the roads were perfectly clear.

I leave my apartment (had lunch here) and it's snowing ever so lightly, but just heavy enough to stick and make driving a fucking goddamn pain in the ass.

I go downtown and fix a 'no phone system' problem by resetting the entire damn thing. Then I go back up to the job I did in the morning.

It happens to be a real estate/mortgage company. I finish up the work and he starts talking about owning a home, of course i'm interested so I give him all my info, where i'd like to buy, etc.

Here's where the fucking rant starts.

I'm coming down Coldwater road. STATE HIGHWAY... it's slick as hell. I need to make a left onto Washington center road, it's a main arterial through Ft wayne.

So I'm sitting in the turn lane on the right side. My light goes, I start going.

I get 3/4 way through my turn when I suddenly have no control. I crank the wheel and tap the gas to try to dig and get traction.

Nothing... at all...

My impression of myself:

SHIT!!!

SHIT!!!

SHIT!!!

and then all I hear is this:


BAM!!!!!!!!!



I bounce off the fucking curb and it pushes me over into the passing lane on Wash. Ctr, JUST AS the car beside me gets around. I came within a few feet of this poor guy just trying to make a turn on the inside. I crank the wheel to the right, regain traction into the SEMI plowed road and continue down. Finally it clears enough so that I'm not driving down a road of snow.

I call the office and ask. Can I just go home? I'm not driving back to new haven in this shit. The ok is given so I drive home with fucking assholes cutting me off and tailgating me. You have no idea how much I wish you could whip out a .357 and just start firing at these stupid fucking fucks.

To top it off Sharon gets allll super excited when this white shit is falling and I hate every single last little white drop of this frozen water bullshit that just needs to GO AWAY.

You have no idea how much I want to wipe that smile off her face when it's snowing. It's not fun, it's dangerous and I hate it.

It's fun when you aren't driving in it, or if you live in a city who can get it plowed within the 4 hours that it has been falling.

hell i think i pissed off half of Fort Wayne and Whitley County on my way home from work. i did probably less than 35mph on US-30 coming from Columbia City into Fort Wayne because i couldnt hardly get any traction because the roads that were once wet, was slicker than eel shit. i had people flying right beside me while im just trying to keep my truck from not sliding all over the damn place. then getting into Fort Wayne sucked hardcore, the roads werent plowed worth a shit. if its like this in the morning, i aint going to work. no way in hell am i going to risk messing up my truck or my life to go to a job.

no drifting? im ashamed of you.

and if you dont like snow, just detonate a nuke everytime it snows. will take care of the snow problem, plus a few extra. :D

You can't drive a FWD truck. It's a company truck on company time. last thing I wanted was to lose control at 5 mph in the middle of a main intersection.
