Awh a man with emotions. Thats so awesome. Im going to stay with him this weekend on his family's farm. I am going to meet the rest of the family too. Apparently he has told his sister he thinks I am the one. He has also asked my ring size. Hrm...

First of all, just want to say congratulations on finding someone that makes you happy:)

But I have never in my life ever met or heard of a man to ask a womans ring size right after they meet for the 1st time. Maybe its just me but I would want to take things slow and get to know each other before you jump into things, especially marriage.

I have to agree there, actually, even though I am happy you're happy.

I had that happen to me, just a very short time in a kind of relationship I had. Well, it was very much him rather than me that wanted it. He very quickly became quite controlling and he had a bad temper that he showed very quickly after buying the ring he pushed me to try on. He bought the ring, regardless of what I said and straight away became very bullying and controlling! To me, ppl who go that far, so soon after meeting someone have an ulterior motive. I emailed in reply to his very full on emails, telling him I loved him, because I felt a bit threatened if I didn't.

Once he bought the ring (I hadn't worn it) and turned, that was it, I told him to leave me alone - he was a creep and no wonder he didn't have a g/f for absolute yrs. Makes me wonder what happened to his one and only g/f he had yrs before. He said he never heard from her when they split. He was really freaky.

Scary stuff.

I'm not saying that'll be the same for you at all - some ppl do actually fall in love right away, but be cautious - you haven't got past the 6 months stage where you get to know eachothers' faults and little ways. Hang on if you can.

After all this, cld be that he plans to just buy you a friendship (I think u call it in America) ring?

Take care. :)

Thanks for the advice friends. I totally understand what you are all saying. I have considered it myself. Even if we do get engaged, we are going to wait to get married for a year. I have never fit so well with someone else. I believe he feels the same way. I am just going to go for what makes me happy and well... I have never been this content with anyone in my life... not even myself. He makes me shine like the sun!
