Quirks...mmm weird behaviour maybe.

Whenever I walk through an automatic door I wave my hands as if I am opening them by magic. I keep thinking to myself that if I walked through the same door 100 years ago someone would think "Wow - great engineering", but if I did it 400 years ago I would be burned at the stake as a witch. That kinda freaks me out.

I'm a bit anal about some things. You may notice that I try really hard to get my spelling & punctuation correct before posting - I can't stand it if it's not right, or as close as I can get it. All my CD's are in order, not alphabetically, but by genre & band. Other anal stuff like that.

- I have to make my bed everyday. It's the first thing I do when I wake up. If my bed is not made, I getting really annoyed and feel like my whole room is a mess.

-I wash my hands a lot, especially after eating. I can't stand that sticky or greasy feeling on the hands.

-My room has to always be clean. If it's not, then I get really stressed out. I guess I'm just a clean freak, because no one else in my family really is.

- Everything I own has to be somewhat different then everyone elses. I have a Motorola Razr, and when everyone else started getting them. I went out and bought a whole different body kit for it so it can be different than everyone else's. (I like to customize everything)

- I orgranize everything. If you walked into my room, you would notice that the DVD's are all in order by genre, my clothes by how nice they are, my pictures are in order by who I love the most. I have to organize everything because if I don't I get stressed out. My girlfriend is the complete opposite. We both drive each other nuts when it comes to things like this. Sometimes I make her bed or clean her room for her because it bothers me.

My CD's are in order alphabetically by artist, and then chronologically by album. If, for any reason, a CD is not where it should be, I flip out. I had to organize them once (there are hundreds of them, no exaggeration), and I refuse to do it again.

If I see that snowy-sludge build up on a cars mudflaps, I have to kick it off. This only applies to mine or my families vehicles though.

I just hate that stuff. It's annoying. I have to get it off there.

My little brother does this. He freaks out if his are dirty after dinner. But if he's working on his car or in the yard, he doesn't care.

I had to literally force myself NOT to do this to strangers' cars. Its hard.

Also, I read things - books, magazines, even my phone statement from the end to the beginning.

-whenever i eat a sammich ( mispelled on purpose) if there is any part of it protruding otuside the bread or bun i have to eat all that first before i bite into the actuall breaded part

- when i sleep i always have to have soemthign to wrap my free arm over..usually a pillow

- if im writing a list of things by hand i always need to have some varietly of bullets be it hyphens dots numbers ..whatever

I always close shower curtains, even in others homes when I'm there

The closet doors must be shut in the room when I lie down

I cant sleep in anything more than shorts, but my feet must be on the bed and covered and I sleep with a fan year round

I kick the flusher on public toilets and never touch the door handle with my bare hand

Nothing that isnt in use can be plugged in, unless the plug is hard to get to like the tv

If I'm holding a cup with a seam (think of a Mcdonalds cup) the seam must be on the opposite side from where I will drink so the ends of my fingers touch it

I always check my zipper twice after leaving a restroom in public

Before I go to bed I always double check to see if any cords or wires are around my bed and if they're are I always shove them farther away, When I was younger I had a dream about being strangled and woke up wrapped in cords from video game equipment!

Yeah, I read everything, book intro's, signs in shops or offices while I'm waiting, small print on loan & insurance forms before I sign. You can see the person waiting for you to sign getting antsy but I read it anyway.

anyhoo...

- I cant stand to have plastic/metal covers on the buttons of a tv not clipped up when im not about to press one, i go skitz at anyone who leaves them like that

- All doors on the top floor HAVE to be closed before i go to sleep

- I always need socks when sleeping (this is more to do with blood circulation than anything els, my feet always get cold even when the rest of me is boiling)

- I have a mild form of Turrets that causes my to squawk like a chicken sometimes, and it also brings me constant physical ticks when one of my limbs fly out uncontrollably (usually its my head, iv only it someone one in a situation like this)

- I have all my books on my shelf in height order, i don't know why i go nuts if one isn't
