20 miles with your Ebrake up?

I did that today... boy did I feel stupid.

Half way back to the office I noticed a smell... a burning smell... then I realized I'd popped the Ebrake up to check underneath it for something I dropped a while back.

Hrm... I wonder if that'll come back to bite me in the ass later.

At least it was the work truck! haha

I drove a friends car about 12 miles with it on. I thought I smelled something funny. I just thought it was my cigar though. I never told him.

I never get about a block or 2 without realizing it...I'm paranoid about checking those things, after doing it a few times you learn to check everytime.

i do it every 40 times in my car or so.. i blame the steering wheel - it blocks the lights like the ebrake light on my dash.

I did that the other day. The e-brake wasn't all the way on just like 1 click. I was wondering why my car was driving kinda weird.

Ive done that before. Kinda ashamed to admit it. lol

I was driving down the road and kept noticing that the car didnt want to get up and go, kinda like it had lost its mojo. So I drove to my husbands work and told him that the car just wasnt driving right. I felt like such a dumbass!

Wow Amy, I don't think I would tell too many people that story. :D

I've done it before, but I tend to notice the first time I coast to a stop and it slows pretty quick. I haven't done it in the Mustang, the e-brake is right in the middle and you can't miss it.

I've done it before. The handbrake on my old car was so knackered you wouldn't even notice it. I used to park on hills by sticking the car in gear.:eek

only a couple of feet....once I smelled the brakes I was like oh I'm a dumbass....its easy to accidently hit the e-brake in the danger ranger because it down by my feet.....I've turned it on just by getting my jeans caught on it
