So this Sucks

My girl was supposed to be on a bus from denver to here Today.. It SHould have left at 8 this morning bringing her in about one this afternoon... She got a 5 day pass, To visit, I am looking forward to it.. but Yeah with everything that has happened I am also a bit apprehensive.. She will actually be staying with her aunt, she cant stay with me

BUT, thanks to all this lovely snow.. she aint here.. Why because Denver got so much snow.. They basically had to Shut denver down ...

Hopefully, She will still be able to come in sometime 2morrow.. They are hoping to get the airports open around noon at the latest, buses can make it.. IF and when they can get out of denver...

Thanks.. It just really sucks.. I have not seen her since August, and it has been really hard .. and losing even one day of getting to spend some time with her.. it really sucks, ad I know she is pretty upset about it too. But unfortunatly there is nothing to be done but wait for the roads to become passable.

K well, Good news is Buses are sposed to start moving around 7am.

Bad news, the staff at her school is still all snowed in, and the school is so far out that they are not considered main roads.. no plows, no sand trucks.

So the buses will be moving but they dont know if there will be a way to get her to the bus station.

but I am keeping my fingers crossed, because I know they WILL figure out a way... because if they don't.. Yes somebody will die.

Well she got a ticket for a 8am bus.. gets to the staion only to discover that they are loading by a first come first ride rule... WTF ever.. so she missed that bus

I guess they got to the station at 4 for a 6 bus.. she should be getting in around II30 tonight.... I hope.. This is sooo screwing up everything.

22" + of snow is definitely evil. If by some weird crazy atmospheric phenomenon you got even an inch of snow down there, lemon... the mayor would declare a state of emergency and your entire city would simply shut down.

Snow is freaky shit. They can call for snow, but it doesn't drop the temp enough and it comes down as rain... or it'll come down as rain then suddenly switch to snow. Either way... the shit sucks. It's annoying to drive in, and annoying to be in.

Get this, The airport has had people stuck there since Wen night, They had cancelled up to what I600 flights.. When they finally got flights going out again,,..

They were only honering Todays ticket holders, everyone else is put on standby...

Theres just not much to be done.. She had the ticket, but in their need to get people back on the road.. yep first come first ride.

There is none none none, just mud and I HATE it. I SHOULD NOT BE WEARING RAINBOOTS IN DECEMBER (yes, I do indeed own a pair of rubber rainboots. They have designs on them). I should be wearing snowboots and a parka and a hat and scarf! Not a sweater, rainboots and mittens!
