I'm in such a damn good mood right now.

Khalil and I were walking to get some soda and such (both of our respective spouse's were watching movies at my abode), and we had just gotten some coca cola and chips when Khalil says to me, "That guy at the bus stop has a track bike... it's totally stolen." We turn around, walk by him again, and sure enough, it's one of my bikes. Khalil goes, "Fuck that!" And so we head to the police station.

Long story short, I told the cops that the serial is on file at the shop, and the Ultegra brake caliper on the bike is worth more than the thief says he paid for the entire bike ($75 bucks?! Are you kidding! I BUILT that bike!)

I walked away with the bike.

So, fuck yeah! I got my bike back! Thank you, justice system, for working! For once!

wow. what luck you have. I'm glad you got your bike back, but it's kind of funny to be just walking the streets and seeing something you own in the hands of someone else, "hey that's mine!"

Great. Now not only will that bike clutter up our entrance, but also the bike you got to replace it.

I'm kidding! Woo, you got your bike back. Still, you really should've watched Les Liaisons Dangereuse with me n' Char.

Sounds french? With subtitles I suspect?

You've never heard of Les Liaisons Dangereuse?! It is only the greatest plot ever! Matt really would have been better off watching it than he would've been getting his bike back. Really.

Yeah right. I'd rather my bike than a movie. Besides, when I was in university, we did a play of Les Liaisons, and I played Danceny. I've seen what it's about.

I've never heard of it. Is it a french film? The only one that I saw was Amelie.

It's a very far cry from Amelie. It's set in the 1700s, and a really complicated plot that involves two people who use sex to destroy each other's lives, eventually succeeding.

But who cares about Madame de Merteuil and silly Monsieur Valmont! My bike is back where it belongs!

I hate my bike, its a quarter of my height and its barely ridable.
Its really light weight though and has some nice pegs.
Im glad you got yours back.

Pleased for you. A friend of mine got his bike nicked once and then saw it being ridden by some little toerag. He waited till the git was cycling past him, booted him off the bike, beat the shit out of him and took it back!:D
